Colorado Schools Fund starts from the belief that every child in Colorado deserves an excellent public school.
There are too many communities where families are looking for a great public school that meets their needs, but don’t have access to one.
Our mission is to start and support excellent public charter schools and other innovative public models in communities where they are needed and where families are asking for high-quality options.
We are particularly focused on schools educating historically-underserved students.
Bridging the
opportunity gap for students in Colorado
Every family wants a secure, stable future for their children — but that’s not in reach for too many families in Colorado.
Opportunity gaps are especially pronounced for Black and Latino families and those with lower incomes: in 2024, a 30 point gap exists between the percent of Latino and Black students on grade level in Colorado and their White peers.
Together, we can bridge the gap.
We work with educators and communities to build schools that meet the needs of the families they’ll serve — innovative schools that reject cookie-cutter approaches and are focused on ensuring students grow, academically and personally.
We’re building a future where every child in Colorado has access to a school that is safe and responsive to their needs and prepares them to graduate with the knowledge, skills, and experiences they’ll need to be successful.
